New Arts Center Perched on a Bluff with Panoramic Views Overlooking Chongqing’s Jialing River
This new cultural attraction, located on the highest point of the surrounding hills commands panoramic views of a broad bend in the Jialing River in Chongqing’s Beibei District. To enhance the waterfront experience, the buildings were designed to protrude in multiple directions, with cantilevered decks that offer unobstructed views of the river. The design seamlessly integrates with the site's natural features, blending harmoniously with the surroundings. Utilizing the dramatic elevated terrain the design incorporates curves to evoke a sense of sailing over the water.

The steel structure’s 16-meter cantilevers give the building a lightweight floating appearance. The curtain wall design on the cantilevered section facing the river is set at a 60-degree angle to create an aesthetic visual effect as if directly over the water. Emphasizing a transparent and lightweight character to enhance the visual rapport between the building’s interior and exterior spaces.
