Flight Experience Hall of Enping Quanlin Golden Town carries into the future the legacy of Chinese aviation in a popular science education center in Guangdong Province.
The site located on the north bank of Qingnanjiao Reservoir in Enping, is the hometown of Feng Ru, China's first aircraft designer, manufacturer, aviator and the father of Chinese aviation. This new facility will provide cultural tourism, science and technology experiences in space designed for a visitor center, exhibition, conference, recreation and entertainment functions.

Futuristic forms arrive in the splendor of an undisturbed natural site.
Surrounded by green mountains and water, the design concept for this unique site, perched high above the natural scenery of the Qingnanjiao Reservoir, was to create a futuristic building complex that both blends into the forested site and appears to float unsupported over the mountainside. The building’s disk form was derived from the 360 degree views surrounding the site. The upper level disk forms are supported by hidden volumes of space below using a method known as semi-earthing to reduce the impact on the natural environment and reinforce the sense of a futuristic structure floating in the forest, high on the mountain.

Perched on a hilltop the building’s curved faceted glass reflect the surrounding environment, valley and lake.
Building surfaces, materials and technology resemble those in the modern aviation industry.
The building façade utilizes a continuous expanse of faceted glass panels around the entire structure to appreciate the spectacular views. Silver grey annodized aluminum panels applied around the building’s base, eaves and sun shades are fabricated to levels of precision and technology approaching those found in the aviation industry. The high tech forms and finishes of this architecture contrast sharply with the surrounding natural landscape but also seem to coexist harmoniously with it.

This multi-level flight museum features simulated and actual flight experiences over the Nanjin valley.
The entrance at the base of the tower leads into the ground floor and mezzanine levels that are connected by a curved landscape stair and used for reception, business meetings and social events. The second floor is a large space for aerospace exhibition and flight experiences, including a flight simulation classroom and a Boeing 737 simulator experience module.
Visitors arrive either by helicopter the from Najin Valley opposite the reservoir, or by car at the foot of the mountain taking an elevator and aerial corridors to begin their journey of discovery.
