This Technology Park located along the Tianmu River and the central landscape axis of the new Hengqin Science and Technology Research and Development district encompasses three main functional areas of research, living and commercial space composed of two scientific research office buildings, one commercial office space, five residential buildings, and ancillary commercial and conference space.  This mixed-use community aims to establish a people-centric technology park that seamlessly blends academic, commercial and residential spaces by integrating work and life into a campus environment.

Incorporating Lingnan features into the design of the park leverages its unique location and environmental context.  By seamlessly integrating “courtyards” and “atriums,” the design addresses the challenges posed by the hot and humid climate.  The central focus of the design on courtyards organizes shaded open spaces, connecting them with corridors, elevated platforms, and terraces to visually liberate the indoor environment and foster a sense of fluidity and openness.

Nestled between mountains and water, the building composition embodies the concept of a sailing fleet embarking on a new journey,  symbolizing the cultural ties between Guangdong and Macao.

The covered pedestrian system promotes ventilation and protection from the elements in a comfortable park environment that aligns with the unique form of arcades commonly found in the Lingnan region.

The conference center serves as a reception and showcases the park's image, with a cantilevered structure floating above surging waves symbolizing a journey into the future and a new century.
