Exploring Future Urban and Community Living Spaces
Prototype Study

This study in an emerging transformative era in China addresses the significant influence of 5G e-commerce on traditional retail.  It introduces a third space, the Jinke Fun Cube that blends thematic experiences and cultural integration.  This cultural/commercial/entertainment 4.0 hub redefines family leisure with its music water show centerpiece and includes a cultural heritage block, cultural water street, a contemporary themed hotel, and leisure art park all surrounded by a healthy lifestyle community of permanent residents.

The entrance, featuring top tech brands, evokes a futuristic, time-tunnel vibe. The district, dedicated to cultural pursuits, houses bookstores, theaters, and interactive entertainment like escape rooms. Embracing the de-retailization trend, this area provides immersive experiences that boost consumer engagement and internet virality, drawing significant foot traffic.

The design capitalizes on an integrated strategy including strategic planning, urban design, commercial circulation, architecture, and landscape design, all executed with a keen eye for detail.  This integrated approach extends to the storefronts and signage to craft a complex and impactful spatial experience.
