Mr. Zhang graduated from Tsinghua University's School of Architecture where he then taught for a further four years before pursuing a career in the United States. He later obtained a master’s degree in design from Harvard University with "Degree with Distinction" and became a registered planner in the United States. During his time living and working in the United States, he was exposed to outstanding international design and advanced concepts, profoundly influencing his professional career. Upon returning to China, he founded HZS.
With over 36 years of professional experience, Mr. Zhang has designed a variety of building types, including residential, commercial complexes, and cultural tourism planning projects. As the chief designer of many renowned projects in the United States and China, his notable works include the San Jose (Silicon Valley) State University new campus, China Overseas Beijing One Sino Residences, Beijing DongSan Jinmao Mansion, Anaya Luanping Xiaogudao Jinshanling, Shanghai Aegean Place, and Beijing Power Construction Headquarters Building, all of which have received prestigious awards such as the Architecture MasterPrize, Architizer A+ awards, and Gold Nugget Awards.
In recent years, nearly half of the high-end projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen have been designed by HZS, earning him the reputation as a master of high-end residential architecture in the real estate industry. For Mr. Zhang, architects must prioritize design quality, innovation, and service, focusing on the fundamentals of design. Additionally, he actively engages in philanthropy, providing long-term support to Tibetan children to ensure access to quality education resources in remote areas and contributing to educational causes in China.
Mr. Studer is a planner, landscape architect and founding member of HZS. In addition to his responsibilities as President he facilities the firm’s collaborative efforts between design disciplines. Graduating from Kansas State University, he participated in the country’s first inter-disciplinary design curriculums focused on a collaborative approach to planning and design involving business, finance, design and engineering.
During his 38-year career, he has lived and worked on five continents enabling him to bring clients and their projects a wealth of experience from a truly global perspective. Combining the disciplines of planning, urban design and landscape architecture his career has thus far focused on the planning and design of new towns, urban development, residential communities, resorts and outdoor leisure and recreational spaces,
Prior to founding HZS in 2006, in collaboration with several illustrious design firms he made significant contributions to many notable projects including The Pennisula, Royal Sentul Highlands, the Boca West Club, EuroDisney, Pont Royal, Treyburn, and El Conquistador as well as the first LEED certified multi-family residential community in the United States. Some of the notable projects he has been involved with at HZS include Spring Woods Resort, Qiliping Emeishan Resort, Putian International Medical Health City, Bama Cifu Lake Logevity Health Resort, and residential communities including China Overseas Beijing A-3 Courtyard, Hopson Beijing Fenzhong Temple Mann, Sunac Tianjin Meijiang One and Shanghai Shenjiang Sunac Lujiazui One.
Mr. Xie holds a master's degree and joined HZS in 2009 as the General Manager. Overseeing the daily management of the company, he has long been dedicated to the field of design, adhering to the principles of design innovation and high-level service. Over the past decade, he has led the company to become a distinguished enterprise with multi-disciplinary integrated design capabilities. He has established long-term strategic partnerships with numerous benchmark clients, contributing significantly to the construction and development of cities with high-end residential projects and public buildings.
Mr. Zhang is a leader with a unique international vision committed to creating with his team an ideal future life. Possessing extensive experience in planning, architecture, interior design, and integrated landscape design, he excels in providing high-quality services to our clients through a multi-disciplinary design approach.
Graduating from Tongji University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he went on to earn a Master of Design from Harvard University. He is LEED-AP certified through the U.S. Green Building Certification and a recipient of the Kinpan Award Outstanding Individual of the Year.
Over his 26-year career, he has served as the lead designer for renowned projects in the United States, Europe, China, and other regions. Through his unique design philosophy, he has led design on numerous well-received works including the Biomedical Health Sciences Education Building in Phoenix, Arizona, Hongxing Culture Tourism Resort, Spring Woods Town in Guangdong, Sheling Northern China Future Industrial Town in Changchun, Tiantai Mountain Future Mountain Town, China Resources Sanya Haitang Bay District Planning, Guangzhou Baiyun Phoenix Mountain Resort, Zhuhai Guishan Island CasaCook Hotel, and Eastern China Radium Spring Kaiyuan Senbo Resort Hotel.
Ms. Lan graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University’s School of Architecture followed by a master’s degree from the same renowned institution. She is a National First-Class Registered Architect and an active Executive Member of the Standardization Committee of the China Gerontological Society and Geriatric Medicine.
In more than 30 years of professional practice she has developed a keen understanding of architecture and extended her work into the disciplines of planning, landscape architecture and interior design to become a valuable cross disciplinary professional. As a consummate professional she is particularly attentive to social development, human needs, and advocates for design to attend to variables of individuals, lifestyles, culture, aesthetics and economic principles.
As a founding member of HZS, Ms. Lan has been involved in a wide range of design projects, including large-scale urban communities, cultural tourism towns, senior living communities, health and wellness towns, and urban renewal projects. She has rich collaborative skills in planning, development, and operations, excelling at problem-solving from multiple perspectives, comprehensively and creatively addressing environmental context, and the interests of clients, the public and end-users.
Ms. Lan's contributions extend well beyond design into the recruitment and nurturing talented teams for the firm, developing new market opportunities in cultural tourism and senior living and research and development of design products. Some of her representative works include Vanke Jade Beijing Park and Jade Chang'an, Excellence Shenzhen Double Moon Bay, prototype development for Anaya Jinshanling (Wudao Liang, Xiaogudao, Sidao Gou), Springwoods Resort Town, Zhengzhou Ten Mile Xiangshan Mount Health and Wellness Town, Baiyue Dali Nashan Nahai Thousand-Mu Resort, Hongxing Resea Seaside Health and Wellness Resort.
Mr. Liu Xun holds dual master's degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Tianjin University. He is also a member of the US Green Building Council with the LEED AP BD+C credential.
Over nearly 20 years of practice at HZS, Mr. Liu has been responsible for the design of large-scale landmark high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and multi-functional integrated communities, directing overall design concepts and managing quality design.
Among the many design challenges brought on by China's rapid urbanization, he persists in breaking from formal monolithic design. By adapting the constraints on design to derive contemporary urban living concepts, he pursues a dynamic balance in the variable dimensions of the urban environment, community, and individual to form fundamental originality from the inside out. His representative work includes the Georgia State University Student Housing, CIFI TOD at Chongqing West Station, and Beijing Chinese Overseas One Sino Residences.
As a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a licensed architect in the State of Georgia, Mr. Liu Xun actively participates in academic exchanges and community affairs of the Atlanta AIA Architects Chapter, seeking creative inspiration from different cultural environments and community concerns.
Ms. Hu Xiaoqiong graduated from the Department of Environmental Art at Donghua University. During her over ten years of career, she has always adhered to advocating original and excellent designs, focusing on the research and design of architectural forms and spaces. She has rich experience in the research, development, and practical application of various architectural designs, especially in the research on the future living concepts of high-quality residences and the innovation of inheriting traditional Chinese culture.
Meanwhile, Ms. Hu Xiaoqiong leads a team of more than twenty young people around 30 years old who graduated from universities all over the world. Keeping up with the trends of the times and having a keen sense of fashion, they strive to create products for the future and lead the market.
Her representative works include Longfor Tianyi, the research and development and implementation of the Jianfa Poetic Orient Series in Nanning, the renovation of the old Jinke Cotton Mill, Chongqing West Station TOD, the award-winning African Children's Home international competition (with two awards), and the Shanghai 15-Minute Community Living Circle competition (with two awards).
Ms. Bai Guixiu joined HZS in 2007, focusing on guiding the planning concepts and product design of various residential projects. Her representative works include Longfor Tianyi in Guangzhou, Poly Xianglong Tianhui in Guangzhou, and the Pazhou South TOD Project of Guangzhou Metro.
During more than twenty years of professional practice, Ms. Bai Guixiu has focused on higher design concepts and team leadership. She has organically combined creativity with functionality, and aesthetics with economy, actively participated in the research and development of multiple products for different clients, and has become a pacesetter in promoting the improvement of the team's design level.
Mr. Wang graduated from Tianjin University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and furthering his education at Tsinghua University earning a master’s degree in architecture.
He has been deeply involved in the Chinese architectural design industry for over 20 years and has been with HZS for 17 of those years. With a solid foundation and broad vision, he has explored various aspects of architectural design from the initial planning and positioning of projects through technical design and construction stages. His body of work has involved residential at all levels from market rate to luxury housing extending to urban block renovations.
He advocates for the complexity of architectural design and the richness of experiential scenarios rooted in local cultural characteristics, emphasizing technological innovations to meet the contemporary lifestyle needs of homeowners and realize the true social and economic value of architecture.
His representative works include the Blueray Mansion 1881 in Chengdu, Jinmao Mansion in Fuzhou, Vanke Golden Field Central in Nanning, Gezhouba Zijun Mansion in Guangzhou, Mansion De Renaissance in Hangzhou by China Overseas, protection and renewal of No. 32 Street in Suzhou, and Longjingtai in Guangzhou By Guangzhou Metro.
Mr. Wang is a National First-Class Registered Architect and is actively involved as a member in the Shanghai Architectural Society, the Shanghai Survey and Design Industry Association and the China Building Energy Conservation Association.
Mr. Su graduated from Tianjin University of Urban Construction with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and has been with HZS for 16 years, focusing on the design, planning, and implementation of high-end residential and urban mixed-use projects.
During nearly 20 years of professional practice, he has been involved in and guided hundreds of residential projects including significant "land king" projects such as Longfor Tianyi in Guangzhou, Longhua Jinmao Mansion in Shenzhen, and China Overseas Dajing in Guangzhou, among others.
Over the span of his career, Mr. Su has been unwavering in his commitment to providing residents a warm and comfortable living environment. Beyond the basic attributes of safety and comfort, he aims to offer residents homes that provide a sense of relaxation and spiritual healing, responding effectively to the stresses contemporary life. He has a deep understanding of the development trends of residential design, exploring various customer needs that have led to significant innovations in the industry. Respect for and accommodation of residents' lifestyles and emotions is the intrinsic logic of his design work.
Mr. Su possesses a holistic perspective and pays meticulous attention to detail during the design process. He maintains a high level of sensitivity and insight into construction processes to ensure high-quality projects. Some of his representative works include Longfor Tianyi in Guangzhou, Jinmao Longhua in Shenzhen, China Overseas Urban Plaza Diamond Bay in Tianjin, Times Grand Residence in Guangzhou, China Overseas Embassy No.1 in Shenyang, and China Overseas Jiangnan Jiuxu in Nanjing.
Mr. Yang earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Donghua University, joining HZS in 2012 he has since become a respected manager and team leader.
With 12 years of professional experience, he views each project as a milestone in his career. Mr. Yang has honed his skills through diverse project experiences, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, effective project supervision, innovative design solutions and an acute understanding of client needs. These experiences not only showcase his professional capabilities and talents but also deepen his passion and dedication to the field of architectural design.
Particularly adept in projects such as mixed-use developments, luxury residential communities, fourth-generation housing design, and commercial complexes, Mr. Yang continuously explores innovative design concepts to create architecturally unique and sustainable works. These projects serve as both challenges and platforms to demonstrate his professional skills and creative thinking.

Chen Jin is an architect with an international perspective, adhering to a design philosophy that incorporates elements of both Chinese and Western design in truly innovative ways. Mr. Chen earned his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Tianjin University before going on the earn a second master’s degree in urban design from the University of Calgary, Canada
During nearly 20 years of architectural practice in North America and Asia, he has maintained a low key but pragmatic approach to multi-disciplinary design in residential and public buildings at renowned firms in the United States before returning to China to join HZS in 2010.
Mr. Chen has accumulated extensive experience complex international projects in residential, hotel, school, office, retail commercial, urban revitalization, and culture tourism. His representative work includes the Antigua Tourism Resort (Antigua on Anastasia Island, St. Augustine, Florida) Tianjin CITIC City Plaza, Guangzhou Tianhe Jinmao Mansion, Xi'an Chinese Overseas Baixian Mansion, Hefei China Energy China Mansion, Hefei CIFI Boyue Tianhui, and Shijiazhuang Chinese Overseas Peak No. 3 Courtyard among many award-winning works.
Due to his unique sensitivity and international perspective in architectural practice, Mr. Chen was honored with the 2017 Kinpan Awards Person of the Year award in architecture.
Graduating from Tongji University with a degree in Art and Design, Mr. Shi has over 20 years of professional experience. Since joining HZS in 2010, he has been dedicated to the planning and design of luxury residential communities and innovations in the field of urban redevelopment.
As an architect with a strong sense of responsibility and social mission, he believes culture and economic principles should be integrated with particular attention to the needs of varying resident groups.

Mr. Li is a National First-Class Registered Architect with nearly 15 years of professional experience. Since joining HZS 8 years ago, he has been instrumental in shaping several influential projects including the China MerchantsPoly Group Sports Center in Hefei, Longfor China Rail Land Jianyunjing in Hangzhou, Longfor Qingyunque in Tianjin, Longfor Yunhe Song in Suzhou, and Longfor YuhuJing in Hangzhou.
He believes that architects should not confine themselves to mere architectural design but should engage in multidisciplinary thinking. He views design not as creating isolated buildings but as crafting spaces and scenes.
Mr. Li possesses both a broad strategic vision and meticulous attention to detail. With extensive design experience, he has developed a sensitivity and insight into construction processes over the years. This enables him not only to provide comprehensive solutions throughout the project lifecycle but also to rigorously oversee details during engineering practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outstanding work.
Mr. Jiang Xiaojin is a graduate of Tongji University and has achieved outstanding accomplishments in luxury residential projects, urban renewal, and urban community development.
Throughout his 15 years of architectural practice at HZS, he has consistently believed that an architect's responsibility extends beyond design to encompass planning, market positioning, interdisciplinary communications through the construction process. Maintaining this holistic mindset, he advocates for in-depth research across all dimensions throughout the design process including exterior and interior functions to various social aspects to create meaningful spaces that resonate with residents and the public.

Mr. Xue Song graduated from Tianjin University with a bachelor's degree in architecture in 2000. He joined HZS in 2010 to lead the public building team in the planning and design of numerous retail commercial, office and hotel projects with a specialized emphasis on complex mixed-use transit-oriented developments.
Throughout his 24 years of architectural practice, exploration of local culture and in-depth study of urban space for each project, as well as balanced consideration of the needs of managers, developers, users and the public. Mr. Xue’s work has enriched the urban experience, creating greater value for our clients and the public.

Mr. Huang Zhongxin graduated from Tsinghua University School of Architecture with a master's degree and is a national certified architect, urban planner and a senior engineer. Since joining HZS in 2011, he has been dedicated to the planning and design of high-quality living environments including low-density residential communities and luxury residential architecture. Focusing on housing development strategies in northern cities, he has accumulated rich applied experience over 20 years. Leading the Beijing team, he has completed the planning and design of hundreds of residential communities in Beijing, making significant contributions to improve the capital's living environment and urban development.
Representative projects include Beijing Chinese Overseas One Sino Residences Beijing, Beijing Chinese Overseas Wangjing Palace, Beijing Hopson YUNĒ, Beijing China Merchants Merchants Legend , CSCEC Oriental Courtyard Beijing, and China Merchants Xi'an Xu.
Additionally, he has broad experience in commercial and mixed-use developments, hotels, and urban revitalization. Mr. Huang possesses a holistic mindset integrating planning, architecture, interior, and landscape design services.
Mr. Wei Han graduated from the School of Architecture at Beijing Jiaotong University in 2009. He is an experienced architect and team leader advocating the profession’s social responsibilities by incorporating culture and socio-economic development into design.
He integrates his reflections on life into practical design, achieving harmony and balance in both form and function. Believing that a good design must not only seamlessly position itself into the urban context but also respond to cultural traditions and provide occupants with highly livable environments.
During his twelve years at HZS, he has led numerous acclaimed projects including China Overseas One Sino Residences, China Overseas Time River Beijing, Hopson DongSan Jinmao Mansion, YiHe Jinmao Mansion, Oriental Courtyard Beijin, Merchants Legend Beijing, Longfor Yuhujing Beijing, Sunac One Sino Park Tianjing.
Mr. Li Jianfei graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2007. As an architect with over 15 years of design experience, he has been with HZS for the last 11 years focusing on residential architecture. Mr. Li has an in-depth understanding and passion for the design of living environments and is committed to bringing unique design concepts and solutions to every project, ensuring successful implementation and resident satisfaction.
He advocates today's residential architecture should not only consider functionality, aesthetics, and comfort but also culture, people orientation and value. His work spans residential, hotels, and commercial property, winning multiple renowned awards. His representative work includes Oriental Courtyard Beijing, JiuYue Palace Beijing, Tianjin Chinese Overseas Meijiang Pioneer, and Donghai International Dezhou.
Mr. Yao Peng holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Yantai University. As a dedicated architect and excellent leader with over 17 years of experience, Mr. Yao advocates unpacking deeper cultural traits and infusing each design detail with reflections on urban life and the city through creative high-efficiency design. He is committed to achieving an inherent harmony between functionality and form.
Mr. Yao has led significant research into affordable yet stylish multi-generational housing and excels in luxury residential, community revitalization and complex urban redevelopment projects.
He has accumulated extensive experience through numerous benchmark urban projects including Beijing Capital Development Langyue, Vanke & Excellency Beijing Jade Park, Longhu Beijing Yuhuking.
Mr. Du Hongwei has been deeply engaged in the field of architecture for 15 years. As a first-class registered architect in China, he has created a series of remarkable luxury mansion projects throughout his career, setting the benchmark for high-end residences in Beijing and North China.
Mr. Du Hongwei has a profound understanding of the profoundness of traditional Chinese culture. He skillfully integrates traditional elements into modern architectural vocabulary, endowing the buildings with a profound cultural heritage. At the same time, with a forward-looking vision, he accurately grasps the development trends of future human settlements. By adopting innovative and exploratory thinking, he breaks through the boundaries of traditional design, creating top-notch luxury mansion communities that are comfortable, warm, and rich in cultural connotations.

Mr. Lei Lu, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from East China Jiaotong University and joined HZS in 2021. Possessing over 12 years of working experience that encompasses the entire design process, he has extensive expertise in residential real estate development operations. He has led the design of many luxury residential projects for renowned Chinese development groups consistently earning both praise and trust for his team.

Mr. Xiang Xing holds a Bachelor of Architecture. He joined the Architecture Department of HZS in 2015 and has been working in HZS for 10 years. He focuses on the schematic design, planning, and implementation control of high-end urban residential projects and mountain villas for micro-vacations. Starting from the basic position of an architect, he has gradually grown into a capable, respected manager and team leader.
Mr. Xiang Xing has honed his skills, broadened his vision, enriched his experience, developed innovative design solutions, and gained a keen understanding of customer needs through various positions. Mr. Ke Wenxiong holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture. He joined HZS in 2017 and has been concentrating on the planning and schematic design as well as the quality control of the implementation of high-quality communities, fourth-generation residential projects, and TOD complex projects.
In practical projects, Mr. Ke always approaches design from the perspectives of clients and urban spaces. Mr. Lin Xiaodong graduated from the Architecture major of the Nanjing University of Science and Technology of the People's Liberation Army. During his tenure at HZS, he has dedicated himself to the schematic design, planning, and meticulous control of the implementation process of high-end residential projects, with a cumulative working experience of eight years.
Throughout all the projects he has been involved in, Mr. Lin Xiaodong has always adhered to the design philosophy of "striving for perfection and excellence". The relentless pursuit of details and strict control over quality form the core logic of his design work.
In his nearly 13-year career, Mr. Lin Xiaodong has participated in and led the design and implementation of numerous residential projects, including high-end residential projects with wide influence, such as Guangzhou Longfor Yuhujing, Foshan Longfor Yuhujing, and Guangzhou China Overseas Dajing.
Mr. Yan Bingzheng graduated from Hebei University of Technology with a degree in architecture and is a national class 1 registered architect and senior engineer. Graduating from Hunan University of Technology with a degree in Architecture, Mr. Du is a National First-Class Registered Architect with nearly two decades of experience in the field.
Over his 16 years at HZS, his work has spanned urban residential design and cultural tourism design. He has led and participated in several landmark urban projects such as China Overseas Huanglong Yunqi, Foshan Green Island Lake No.1, and cultural tourism and resort projects like Aranya Jinshanling, Dali That Mountain That Sea, Qinhuangdao Resea, Heyuan SpringWoods Town, Longhu Great Wall Chinoiserie, and Huizhou Double Moon Bay. He has a deep understanding of urban living, cultural tourism experiences, hotels and resort design.
Throughout his nearly twenty-year career, Du has consistently drawn from the social and operational logic in architecture, rationality combined with poetic expression to create engaging and aesthetically pleasing architectural space. He maintains keen sensitivity and insight into changes in building materials and construction techniques, providing flexible and pragmatic solutions throughout the project implementation process.
Ms. Xu Jing holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental art design from Tongji University. She is a creative and responsible architect and team leader with over sixteen years of experience in architectural design. Her work spans a variety of project types including cultural tourism, hotels, schools, residential, commercial, and public cultural buildings.
She focuses on the dialogue between architecture and environment, integrating functionality with aesthetics. With 16 years of industry experience, he is a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects. Prior to joining HZS 8 years ago, Mr. Li worked with multiple domestic and international design firms, managing landscape design projects across various sectors.
Since 2019, he has been directing the family cultural tourism division at HZS. Highly skilled in each phase of integrated theme park development from initial conceptual planning through construction and initial operations, Mr. Li excels at design leadership through collaboration across disciplines to deliver high quality outcomes.
